The Bureau of Narcotic Administration is a law enforcement agency of the Department of Justice. Together with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Drug Enforcement Administration is the Bureau fighting against national drug smuggling, human trafficking, terrorism, illegal firearms and narcotics possession and gang-related activities.
The Bureau has been founded on the 23rd of March in 2016 by Director Michael D. Hoover after a fusion of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Drug Enforcement Bureau (DEA), and Internal Affairs Agency (IAA). Representatives of all three agencies appointed former IAA Director Hoover as the new Director of the Bureau of Narcotic Administration.
